PDF Spam Back With a Vengeance

From PC World http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,13...l?tk=nl_dnxnws

A must read for everyone: According to multiple threat researchers at security vendors, tens of thousands of spam messages were blasted out last week with attached PDF files, which infect the recipients' PCs when viewed. The subject lines of the new crop of PDF spam are finance-related, according to security vendors, using phrases designed to get the recipient's attention such as "your credit report." These e-mails contain no text, simply the attachment.

"When opened, the PDF file uses the CVE-2007-5020 vulnerability via Acrobat Reader...continue on site.

Wow is that scary! Going to check it out right away! Thanks for sharing that it is good to know the latest threats.

Happy Birthday

Just checked it out. Would another PDF reader such as Foxit be safer? The only reason I haven't downloaded it yet is I have now idea how to set it as the default reader and I like to know all of that stuff beforehand. I don't want any conflicts.

It's scary, especially since PDF files are so popular. The best thing to do is not to open any emails if one doesn't know who the sender is. That's why I like Hotmail, as I can elect to block senders or websites from sending emails to my account.

Thanks for the Happy Birthday wish. Today will be a day for me to aly back and relax.

Wow, Am I not glad I dropped BLOTE WARE "Acrobe" Reader ages ago, and went with the FREE PDF reader, by FOXIT. Foxit is faster to open, easy to set as DEFAULT, smaller in size, and simply works... I highly recommend it to all

Going to do that right away. I like the thought of a leaner reader too.

Now with the time change Nov 3 is 25 hours long, cool day for a birthday! :flowercool:

Thank you much Snuffy. By the way, I use and like Foxit too; the PDF reader is getting too large. But even with Foxit reader one must be careful which emails to open. If you suspect the email is junk, just delete it...don't open it.

I am a primary WoW player

I am a primary WoW player. I have been playing for almost two months now. wow game looks like it's gonna be a great MMO and also looks amazing..... Before I dive into my impressions of the World of Warcraft .I think I would give a brief description of how I get into it. Not counting the Pokemon. While what makes me confused is how to change the account of WoW cd key?My friend has opened an account of online-bank .I tell him to top up my original account for the$15 time card, and then spend$30 buying a new world of warcraft cd key Opps…..my god! However, he doesn’t get it. He asked me what my account is. At that time, maybe I have a confused mind. Without more consideration I give him my original account... then he buys a new wow cd key of it. How troublesome it is!buy Warhammer power leveling .I think we all have ever heard of the tragedies caused by game enthrallment in life. While World of Warcraft Power Leveling can prevent this from happening. It is wise for one to choose a group of experienced professional Power Leveling players to put power level his character, and he can do what he should do in real life. Seeing from this perspective, WoW Power Leveling is not shameful but glorious.
