| Want to reformat C: My kid's computer got a virus and no matter how I reinstall vista I still have the virus. I think the virus is in the settings that keep get archived by vista as 'old' when it reinstalls; therefore, it keeps the virus on the hard drive. I want to do a complete format and start over to see if that will fix the problem. What do I have to do to reformat my C: drive with vista? |

| Yes, those viruses can be difficult to remove. If you can afford to reformat the HD, simply back up your data to external HD or CD/DVD. Insert the Vista DVD and when prompt to select the partition where you want Vista install, select the format option.
