Bad sectors, how do I fix please? I have an Atlas III 10K SCSI drive that reports having bad sectors. When I try to ghost this drive to another, it hangs attempting to mark them. Needless to say, it doesn't complete the job. How can I fix these without loosing any data? The only other option that I see is to do a re-install to the IBM drive, fix the Atlas, and then ghost back to it. Thanks for any help.

Assuming SCSI and IDE drives are similar with regards to bad sectors, you will need to do a low-level format to attempt to "fix" the bad sectors. The drive manufactor should have a utility for doing a low-level format. NOTE: a low-level format actually doesn't "fix" bad sectors, it replaces them with "extra" sectors that are on the drive from the factory.

Might want to boot to a DOS/Windows boot disk that has chkdsk on it. I think there is an option that will let you check and mark bad sectors to not be written to.
