I remember the first time I tried to copy the bios & AFUDOS to a floppy for the Maximus Formula SE motherboard, as this is the method that I got used to with all Asus motherboards, it did not fit. I was so surprised by this and did not know what to do. I was going to make a bootable flash drive to use AFUDOS to update the bios, but I finally went on the Asus forums the next day to find out the EZ Flash method from within the bios and utilizing the flash drive. I was initially afraid to try this method. I was happy once I used this method and it has worked the last few times that I updated the bios.

yeah that's the same method I found earlier as well...seems to work too

no need for me to use that now since my ASUS board has the EZ Flash utility...but for non ASUS boards this might be the best/only option
