| Coincidence or faulty mobo? WD SATA drives I RMA'd a WD 250 GB SE16 SATA drive a couple of months ago because it kept disappearing and causing some errors. When I got the new one I hadn't yet used it because I didn't need it yet. I also had a WD 320 GB SATA drive that just died on me, lost a bunch of data and can't retrieve the info off it using a few different programs. Going to RMA it. Now back to the replaced and new 250GB drive I formatted it and opened WD's Diagnostic Tool to run an extended test and it stopped with an error "Too many bad sectors detected" and would not complete a test. Is this a coincidence that these 3 drives are bad or could it be caused by data corruption because of the motherboard and/or the drivers used from nVidia? the 250gb drive: WD2500KS, and the 320gb drive: WD3200JD. My 74GB raptor (system/boot drive) works fine, never had any problems with it, nor do I have problems with my one IDE 80GB WD drive.

| Are you overclocking at all? If you are, is the PCI bus frequency locked? If that is operating at too high of a speed, it could cause problems with your drives. Try using the drive on another system if it is possible. If it runs fine, it is time to RMA the MB if you aren't overclocking. |

| i didn't see any settings for a PCI lock in the BIOS. rev. 1009 A8N-SLI Premium. I'm going to RMA both these drives @ newegg and purchase a new motherboard. Thinking about the MSI Diamond Plus or the A8N32-SLI deluxe. Because I know the ASUS RMA dept will take forever.
