U may have heard of a similar problem with cd-roms running on the cusl2. im currently using the ribbon cable provided with the cd-rw. plz help! is there any bios revision that has solved this problem before? or is there any other thing i can do? i believe i have an extra ribbon cable provided with my mobo. will that help? plz, i need my cd-rw to work properly! plz help. thx alot. pankaj kb

| I agree as I think your problem lies somewhere else than in your CD-RW. I've 2 Plextors, 1 in each of my towers, and never had any problems like that at all. They just work..... Good luck, gtirr |

| I have two CUSL2 machines with Plextor 12/10/32A drives. Both are connected using ATA100 IDE cables. One is running bios 1003 final and the other bios 1007 final. I've never had a problem with either. I know this doen't help you, but it suggest to me that the problem may not be with the board. Have you checked out you PSU? Have you tried the cdrw in another machine? |
