| Hello all, Intel Core 2 Duo E6700, Gigabyte GA-P35-DQ6 (WinXP pro). I keep getting the following two errors in the Event Viewer:- An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk4\D during a paging operation. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http:-go.microsoft.com-fwlink-events.asp. The device, \Device\Scsi\JRAID1, did not respond within the timeout period. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http:-go.microsoft.com-fwlink-events.asp. I have the RAID array defined as 0 (performance) and the two SATA II 250gb drives attached to the Gigabyte RAID controller. At first I thought that I had a faulty drive so replaced both Western Digitals for two new Seagate Barracudas 250gb SATA II 16mb NCQ drives, but still get exactly the same errors! Have installed the latest Gigabyte RAID drivers from the official site, but that makes no difference to the errors recorded. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Regards Gary |

| Re: Device\Scsi\JRAID1, did not respond within the timeout period Hi there, I have been getting this error too. When it happens I get the first hit and then 1min ~5seconds later I get the second hit again. My motherboard is Gigabyte GA965P-DS3P v3.3 The hard drive (Seagate 500 gig NCQ) in question is on the JMicron controller (JRaid.sys). I have googled this problem with plenty of hits, but few solutions. I am getting really sick of it. I might change the SATA port to the ICH8R one to see if that makes a difference. This is for Vista Business Edition too by the way, 32 bit. ![]() Last edited by hawkz25 : 10-02-2007 at 04:32 AM. Reason: typo |
