| Error message for DVD drive (system viewer in XP) Opening my system log in XP, i see a strange error message related to my Liteon DVD drive. It says something equivalent to: Error code 7 Devide cdrom ID0/Device0 has a bad block This has occured about 20 times in the space of 3 minutes, I guess when using the drive. As usual the 'knowledge' base at MS is no use, containing no information on the problem or what exactly it means The drive still reads CDs and DVDs without a problem. I will try a different cable later (my rounded ones may be causing problems), but has anyone else had a similar problem? The drive is only 3 weeks old, unfortunately it can't be RMA'd as I've modded it by painting the bezel to match my case All and any suggestions welcome...is my drive about to die?
