| Just got a new case and transferred my system over last night. When I turned on the machine, I received and error with the floppy drive. It read: Error (40) Floppy Disk. It appears like me floppy drive light is staying on at all times. I looked to see if it was installed properly , and looks like it is to me. ANy thoughts? Thanks You. |

| Check your cable to see if #1 pin is on the #1 on the drive and the board. If you have round cables the brown wire is #1. Peace Ed |

| I agree with Ed. If you have the floppy ribbon cable backward, the led will stay lit all the time, and the floppy will not work. I have done this too many times!
