| Failed to Burn DVD So, I've been using DVDFab to back up all the DVD's I buy for almost a year now. I took a break from it for about a month, and now that I'm trying to burn DVD's again, it's not letting me. What happens is I can save an image of the original DVD on my comp, but when I try to burn it, after a few seconds, DVDFab returns a "Failed to burn DVD" message. I have Nero as well, but I don't know if I can burn Dual layered discs with it. It's only version 5 or 6. Regardless, how can I tell if this is a software issue, hardware issue, or an operating system issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would just LOVE to get this working again. Please oh please. |

| I think you need Nero 6 to do dual layer. Nero v.6.6.0.18 is the highest version you want to run. Higher than v.6.6.2.18 is not desired for reasons I do not remember. ![]() __________________ Asus P4P800 Deluxe Intel P4 3.2 Extreme Edition @ 3.50 / Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu / Arctic Silver Ceramique 4x1024 OCZ PC3200 EL Dual Ch High Performance Platinum Edition @ 2-2-2-5 ATI All-In-Wonder Radeon X800 XT / Samsung Syncmaster 215TW 21" Wide Screen LCD Two Western Digital RE2 500 Gb YS Raid Edition SATA hdd's Two Western Digital 250 Gb Raid Edition hdd's Two Western Digital My Book 500 Gb external USB2/Firewire hard drives LiteOn 165H6S DVD Super AllWriter / LiteOn 166s 16x DVD-Rom Onboard LAN Antec SX1240 full tower Soundblaster Audigy 2 zs Platinum / CambridgeSoundworks 5.1 DTT 3500 Digital Speakers Logitech G5 Laser Mouse Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard v.1 Razer eXactMat + eXactRest win2000 |

| Re: Failed to Burn DVD Looks like DVD Hardware problem. Try a new DVD burner. They do not last forever. |

| Re: Failed to Burn DVD Are you using different disks than in the past? Some DVD burners are picky about what disks will work. Can you burn other projects with DVDfab? Will other burning software work for any projects?
