Failed to Burn DVD

So, I've been using DVDFab to back up all the DVD's I buy for almost a year now. I took a break from it for about a month, and now that I'm trying to burn DVD's again, it's not letting me. What happens is I can save an image of the original DVD on my comp, but when I try to burn it, after a few seconds, DVDFab returns a "Failed to burn DVD" message. I have Nero as well, but I don't know if I can burn Dual layered discs with it. It's only version 5 or 6.

Regardless, how can I tell if this is a software issue, hardware issue, or an operating system issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I would just LOVE to get this working again. Please oh please.

I think you need Nero 6 to do dual layer. Nero v.6.6.0.18 is the highest version you want to run. Higher than v.6.6.2.18 is not desired for reasons I do not remember.

Re: Failed to Burn DVD

Looks like DVD Hardware problem. Try a new DVD burner. They do not last forever.

Re: Failed to Burn DVD

Are you using different disks than in the past? Some DVD burners are picky about what disks will work. Can you burn other projects with DVDfab? Will other burning software work for any projects?
