| flash drive & radio static When I connect my USB thumb drive into my Win98SE tower, my radio gets heavy static at 820kHz AM, which is where one of my favorite stations broadcasts (other frequencies, those I visit, aren't affected). Pulling my thumb out ends the static. Any free/cheap solution? Flash drive: PNY Technologies Attaché P-FD512U20-RF 0.5GB. Mainboard: DFI CA64-TC. Static also occurs during bootup, but that's less annoying 'cause it's shorter. Power is from one outlet pair, on a single branch; no choice there. Moving radio doesn't make static louder or quieter. No plan to upgrade radio. Thanx. (More search terms for this thread: radio interference; flash memory.) -- Nick |
