Congrats gfr. I'm sure you'll love that drive.

Have the WD600JB.. really quick. Noticed it especially when partitioning in FDISK. 'Verifying Disk' runs 5 times faster than my Maxtor D740X 60GB. !!

Congrats!

Struggling with the same decision!

My Process...
"Do I want it? YES!"
"Do I need it? No!"
"Do I really want it? Absolutely!"
"Do I really need it? Maybe!"
"Why Do I really want it?"
"...Cause it's COOL!"

I know I'll probably wind up with one!

Hey logic,

How did you get your memory so fast ?

I have a P4S533 and 2 PC2700 Samsung chips but even when I leave everything standard and the mem at 333 Mhz the system is VERY unstable !

If I look at this datasheet http://www.samsungsemi.co.uk/dram/Ne...ide_June12.pdf

It says that the sticks have 4 banks (each) and the board only supports 4 banks but appearantly that isn't a problem for your set-up !

(I have a 2Ghz P4 and a GF4 TI4200)

GRF,

I have 2 double sided Samsung Ram right now. I don't have the model number but I will get it for you later on. I also up the voltage of my ram to 2.7v. That might help you. I know that I can do DDR400 no problem with my module.

Mikeworld, have it delivered to your job... That way you can get it without your wife getting to know it...
