Hard Drive Noise

I've got a hard drive that has begun making a clicking sound and is no longer found in windows. Obviously this is not a good thing but is there any hope with these symptoms?
It's a Western Digital IED drive.

Re: Hard Drive Noise

Clicking sound is surely drive going or gone!!! If you got data on it try wrapping tight in plastic bag, place in freezer for 20 mins then connect and retrieve your data. You will have about ten minutes before it goes again.
