Harddrive not being detected

I have a harddrive that isn't being detected by Windows

Its a Seagate 7200.8 300GBs
SN: 3NP0VDX2
Model: ST3300831AS
Fireware: 3.03

Its in a SATA connection. I have two harddrives in SATA the other being a Seagate 7200.9. It never has a problem being detected.

About 6 months ago the harddrive wasn't being detected. Then I just turned it on like a day later, and it was being detected. I hadn't had a problem since, till now.

Now every time it boots, it isn't being detected.

Do you think its a power problem? i have a 250Watt ATP.

I have 2 harddrives, 1 Cdrom, 1 graphics card (requires it own power connection, 1 audio card, 2 rams, and a CPU of course.

What do you guys think it could be?

Could be power related, yes. Depends on what CPU and such you're using (tip: add a user profile so we can see what hardware you have).

Make sure there's no problem with the SATA cable and such, also. The BIOS and mobo drivers are up to date? Could possibly be an issue.

Well, is the drive spinning up? If not, try using a different power connector.

1. cable issue. Some of those SATA cables just don't snap in tight and stay tight. I had similar problem with one where slightest bump would lose it even though the cable was still plugged in. Changed cable, cured problem
2. drive died
Just went through an intermittent problem on one drive where it showed in bios but not in Windows Drive Management. Several chkdsk /r /f killed it completely. Trashcan....

Power problems can be finicky and odd. I don't think that's the source of your problems, but I wouldn't rule it out completely.
