HD choice help

I am looking for another 120GB SATA HD since I am building another system. It will be a Maxtor DM 10, Seagate 7200.9, or Hitachi. If I remember right, Hitachi took over IBM's HD department. Unless the drives are better than the deathstars, I will not go with them. The 5 year warranty from Seagate would be nice but I'm seeing mixed reviews for performance. I would like the best performance I can get without going with a Raptor.

I am also looking for a good 80GB IDE drive for a P3 system or a good 80GB SATA drive and controller card.

You are right about Hitachi, although I think they have fixed the problems from the old IBM days. One other alternative that I have been using is that Samsung is making a decent line of hard drives now. I don't recall the warranty, but I replaced a notebook HD with one of theirs, and it performs quite well. Their full sized ones seem to be getting some favorable reviews also, so you might want to check them out, and take a look at current reviews to see what they are saying now. It's been a while since I looked them up.

Would this happen to be one of the ones from Samsung that are good?

Unfortunately, I don't know. Good price though. Anyone had any experience with that drive? Or seen any reviews?
