| Missing CD Rom drive So...I'm my cd drive isn't showing up at all. I've done a search here, and through google. The things I tried temporarily worked, but nothing permanent. I've uninstalled/re-installed my software and drivers, and that was a temp fix as well. PLASE HALP!!! (bonus points to whomever can name the movie of that last line)

| Re: Missing CD Rom drive Anyone?? It's on my laptop so I really can't uninstall and reinstall it. The cd drive is a HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4241N. The laptop is an HP pavillion ze4547 running XP home.

| Re: Missing CD Rom drive did you try sliding out the dvd drive and reseating it? if its a removalbe? Sounds like it could be a connection issue.
