Plextor SATA PX-810SA Power off issue Hi All, I just got a new DVD burner for my new machine. I am running the following setup: Abit an932x fatal1ty AMD x2 3.0 dual core wd 10,000 raptor 74gb x2 stripe setup geforce fx 8800gts 640mb 2 gigs corsair xms ddr800 pc6400 mushkin 750w win xp pro Ok i just installed the new drive it works great, fast, etc. Now when i go to shut windows down it hangs for about 15 seconds then the monitor goes to no signal and the machine stays running and i have to manually power it off. I have tried all jumper settings, disabled my ide controller too the drive out of the boot sequence. There is no firmware to update on the drive that i can find. all of my win updates are done. I can't seem to figure this thing out. Any suggestions? ![]() Last edited by JoeyAces : 10-22-2007 at 11:20 AM.

Re: Plextor SATA PX-810SA Power off issue Also, part and parcel to security.... I clean the pagefile at shutdown... depending on its size... this can take a few seconds...

Re: Plextor SATA PX-810SA Power off issue I have tried other ports no change. All windows updates are done. I'll try to shutdown in safe mode.

Re: Plextor SATA PX-810SA Power off issue When you "Shut windows down"... do you mean a real shutdown or a sleep state?
