| Re: Raptor - Worth it? Boot and shutdown time depend a lot on the peripherals you have installed (printer, scanner, AIO printer, usb connected devices). Also, eliminating in the bios a diskette/cd/dvd will spare a lot of time at searching by the bios for boot devices (without disabling them in the OS). |

| Re: Raptor - Worth it? The case and its resonance might be your problem. I use an Antec P182 with 4*150GB 16MB Raptors (and 3 non-Raptors HD) and the system is even quiet as if non-Raptor drives were used. |
