| Extremly important HDD question! My motherboard ASUS P4PE (sound, raid, gb lan, S-ATA etz) does not support two IDE hdd in a raid 0 config on the ordinary primary parallel ATA connector, it only supports one IDE hdd on the primary parallel ATA connector and ex one IDE hdd on the S-ATA connector if I want to use a RAID 0 config. My question is if this can be fixed so I can use 2 hdd in a RAID 0 config on the primary parallel ATA connector, for example whit a hacked BIOS version or something else? Please help me. Gabbe |

| Doubt it. First problem there is that Promise don't even offer any driver of BIOS update for the PDC 20376 controler, seems to be an OEM-only product. So far no OEM has had any flash BIOS update available, so hackers don't have anything to start working with (assuming this is just a BIOS limitation and not a hardware one). If you want to RAID, you'll need to purchase a Serial-ATA adapter that will let you plug your second regular ATA drive to one of the two Serial-ATA ports.

| You can't run 2 drives on the Primary PATA connector.

| You can set up RAID in a couple different ways with your 2 IDE drives. One of the popular ways is using the SATA to ATA adapter. At leaset one of your IDE drives needs to be set up on the SATA using the adapter you can get here: http://www.siig.com/products/ide/index.html The other can be set up on the P-ATA. Do a search of this forum and I'm sure you'll find a lot of good input. fullwave2

| http://www.directron.com/satakit.html The info is from a US Vendor, but you may be able to locate the piece in Sweden. I'm not sure if a RocketHead will work independantly of the RocketRaid card... Also, you might check for these... http://www.avlab.com.tw/b_0059_001.htm
