| replacing 60Gb laptop Hd with 80Gb ,,,ok ? I have an older Alienware 51m laptop with a 1.8 Ghz P4 and 1 Gb RAM. The original 60Gb Toshiba 4200 RPM HD that came with it is starting to fail. I want to replace it with Newegg.com - Western Digital Scorpio WD800VE 80GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache ATA-6 Notebook Hard Drive - OEM will this be a problem of in compatibility, considering the increase in storage space and increase in RPMs. ?

| The add space should not be a problem nor the speed increase. I just recently replaced a 30gb 4300 with a 60gb 5200 on my IBM TPt23. Runs fine.

| COOL. ok. ty how about the cache size. the old one was 2mb ....new one 8 mb.....?
