| Re: Wireless Adapter Not reconized. All right, so the Wireless Connection / Adapter is NOT shown in your Network Connections or Device Manager? ------------------------ I should have added: Make sure the Device is Enabled in you Network Connections or Device Manager... Something else to check: Windows may be trying to control the connection: click Start, right click My Computer, select Manage. Go to Services and make sure Wireless Zero Configuration service is NOT running and is Disabled. This service allows Windows to control the connection and Not the Linksys Connection Manager. I have had a problem letting Windows control the connection on a few Linksys products in the past month.

| Re: Wireless Adapter Not reconized. No i no there isnt a connection but when i put it in the computer the computer reconizes it as an ethernet controller, instead of a wireless card so the linksys program thinks i dont have one installed. And im not sure why it isnt showing as a wireless adapter |

| Re: Wireless Adapter Not reconized. Well, try this first. Insert the Linksys disc. Do Not let setup run. Goto your Device Manager and Update the drivers. Install from list or specific location, and select the Linksys driver XP folder on the disc and let it complete. You may need to restart the computer, but it still should be listed as a Network Adapter in Device Manager. As for the Linksys Manager, you do need to disable the Wireless Zero Configuration service in Windows. That service will not allow the Linksys software to control the wireless device and connection, but the Linksys software should be stopping that service during every startup...

| Re: Wireless Adapter Not reconized. Remove the card and any drivers you installed. Install software/ drivers then shutdown your pc and put the wireless card in and boot into windows. |
