bittorrent might have hurt themselves due to people using this p2p illegally.

Here's a way to look at using bittorrent. I can pick up the station that shows Lost but the reception is bad so recording it to see later is not fun. However, I can download it and watch it in clarity. Either way, I was going to watch a recording. I started using bittorrent last year when I could not watch Enterprise due to the rainy season killing the reception on the TV that was hooked up to the antenna. I discovered that the little 13 inch TV with a boosted rabbit ears antenna could actually pick up Enterprise well enough to allow me to barely watch the shows. So for a few weeks, I actually dragged the TV out of storage, put it on the kitchen table-angled the rabbit ears to that one exact spot and sat in a wooden kitchen chair to watch it. Now, I download the show, play it back on the computer whenever I want to with headphones on so that I don't interfere with what my wife is watching on the TV. I have 20 feet of cable so I can even louge in a comfy chair with the headphones on. Life is so much better with bittorrent.

Illegal usage: Downloading movies that are obviously not available on the TV. I personally just don't download movies of any kind. Period. Software that is not free to use.

pointreyes -

I download Enterprise also but I do it from UseNet. Ultra fast because it is on commercial servers. I wish there was a Lost UseNet group. Plus I download the HDTV version.

But somehow I have the feeling that any p2p system is slow because it's hosted on a non-commercial computer.

On a 640/256 DSL connection I get a 350Meg download in under 4 hours (sometimes I get the download completed in about 2 hours) while browsing on the net at the same time. A lot depends on the speed of the torrents though. Some of the older ones take a very long time. However, the newer ones are normally relatively quick.

In this case I'm happier talking about it. I used BT to download 24 for one of my friends that she asked to video tape it. I always forgot about it so I had to find an alternative. A plus is it's much clearer in the HDTV version. A drawback is I can't get the subtitle. I'm not a native English speaker so I have problem with some of the dialogs. Fortunately, LOST is not that hard to understand, unlike 24 and ER. Oh BTW, LOST torrents are quick to download too due to a gigantic number of leechers/seeders.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Checked it out.

Guide+ says a Disney movie from 8 to 10. TV Guide says Lost from 8 to 10.

I hope TV Guide is right!

I think you have to start using Bittorrent now. Should be a fast download at this time.
