Re: anyone watch Lost?

I wasn't too surprised that it was Locke in the coffin, since the finale of last season everyone was saying it was Michael, Locke, or Ben. When have seen Ben in the flash forwards, so it couldn't have been him. Then in the finale, when we see Michael's goodbye when the freighter blows up, so that leaves Locke. I too think that Jin could still be alive, since he was on the deck of the ship when it blew, so he could have jumped into the water or was blown off into the water. However, the people on the raft had left the island and were going towards the freighter when the island disappeared - I think they're screwed. No freighter, and no island to go back to. Unless they did what Jack said on the helicopter - go to the other island nearby that the Others went to. In that case, they could have picked up Jin (and maybe other suriviors from the freighter) and went to the other island (I don't know how much fuel they would have). I like the Claire telling Kate not to bring Aaron back, however Ben tells Jack that "Everyone has to go back" - question would that mean Sun's baby as well?? I was surprised at Sun for her meeting with Widmore. She did say to her father that TWO people were responsible for Jin's death and her father was one of them. The other - Widmore? Is this some revenge trick on Widmore, like she got on her father - (I really like that scene). I like the Hurley chess scene - he was playing against Mr Echo. I also like the Ben/Jack scene at the end - Ben tells Jack that he has heard that Jack was flying around hoping that the plane would crash, to get back to the island - his comment "that's just dark" - I was laughing at that. This coming from Ben who is a very "dark" person. Also in that scene, we find out that Locke had talked to both Jack and Kate to come back to the island. Jack said that everything got really bad (on the island) after they left. I taped the Good Morning America show, to see the 2 alternate ends, and got a really nice surprise that the ABC station was off the air for most of the 2 hours, so I missed the Lost clips. (They're still having problems). I'm glad someone posted them on youtube and I got to see them.

Finally a "real" season. Seasons for TV series used to be traditionally thirteen episodes per season. Not this seven episode season thing like they did with the "final" season of Jericho. Jericho (and Traveler) should have lasted as long as LOST.

all new LOST special this Friday on G4

Damon Lindelof remembers the day clearly. Not long after turning into ABC a 23-page outline for a show that would be called LOST, his phone rang, on a Sunday. It was Lloyd Braun, who at the time was the president of ABC Entertainment. "I'm going to greenlight this show," Braun said. Lindelof's immediate thought? "Oh, s--t!"

That story and many more reflections on the serialized phenomenon concerning castaways, Others and others are shared in Lost: A G4 Special, premiering Friday, July 25, at 10 pm/ET on the G4 cable network
