| DHL and OUTPOST.COM - A horror story Actually the following involves Outpost.com and DHL together. A modern day bed time yarn to foment nightmares in many a little computer geek. I ordered a new powersupply via Outpost because I need one badly. As soon as I clicked "submit" I saw that the power supply I had ordered was rated junk by anyone who used it, and 9 time out of 10 it is DOA. I immediately searched for the cancel button. Lo and Behold, Outpost does not have a cancel button on their website. I had to contact customer service (I found an email form for this, and I did so, cancelling the order) I then decided on the Raidmax psu, and ordered again, about 5 mins later. So far so good. I then noticed a very odd thing. Within an hour, the item I had cancelled was marked "shipped!" The good people at Outpost had seen fit to ship the item I had cancelled in record time! I have never seen an item shipped this fast and it made me wonder. I contacted them, explained the situation, and waited. The item I wanted was still marked "processing" 24 hours later when the item I cancelled was delivered. Unfortunately, I wasnt home, and my boyfriend accepted it. I called outpost and they said that I couldnt return it because I had accepted it. Lovely. I then asked for an RMA and they lied and said they had sent me one. I asked for the number and they grudgingly told me the number. I then asked them to ship the item and it arrived in Ohio on Saturday morning and SAT THERE. This is where DHL comes in. I called them and asked if they were going to deliver my package. They said a mistake was made and it was sitting in Ohio and they would deliver it Monday! Monday arrived and it was in Daytona Beach but was never shown on the truck. I called and they said it was scheduled for return. I said that is a mistake and the girl at DHL called Daytona Beach and that the item would be shipped to me today when drivers returned from their morning deliveries. Later that day I called again and once again the girl had no idea of this, she said "this item is scheduled for return". She called Daytona Beach after I insisted and the manager their said that they were confused, were they supposed to deliver this package to me? They asked if I had a package awaiting return at my house they could also pick up, and I said yes. They said if not delivered on Monday, it would be delivered on Tuesday. Today I called to make sure that the item would go on the truck this morning, and once again, the customer service girl said "this item is scheduled to be returned". I explained to her the situation and she refused to call Daytona Beach because they were not "open" even though they routinely put thing on the truck by 7 am there. She also mentioned that the item had been "on the truck" yesterday. Meanwhile the website at Outpost still shows its shipped, and the item I DONT WANT is shown as "pending return". All I can say is, whether or not I get this item, it will be the last time I ever deal with Outpost.com OR DHL. So right now I have nothing I can use. And I am out double overnight shipping charges and have paid for two Raidmax psu's and two samsung DVD's and I have nothing and Outpost and DHL have it all. /signed dazed and confused and ever so much poorer in Florida. (ps I cant wait to get back to paris where same day delivery is considered normal lol)

| That's terrible service. I just don't get companies that treat people like this. Now if they were trying to get you to buy something, they would be like your best friend. Once they get your money, they show they could care less. I hope you get it sorted out and thanks for informing us. I try to stick with newegg, zipzoom and monarch. Only newegg has given me bad service before on a return, forgivable but not forgettable. I sometime use DHL when I have a big package to ship because their rates are usually lower. But when Vonage shipped my phone modem they supposedly left it at the front door but when I got home there was nothing. I've been living in the same house for almost ten years and have never had a package stolen from my front porch although anything is possible, luckily Vonage reshipped the package at no cost to me. Funny thing is, Vonage clearly states that these packages can only be delivered with a signature, yet both packages were left at the front door with no signature by DHL.

| It seems a lot of companys are going downhill lately, Monarch Computers is headed that way, I've put together 4 rigs in the last two years using them for lots of parts and never had any problems but now they charge your credit card has soon as you order (never did that before only when shipped) and if you look at there Resellers Ratings and the last 6 months doesn't look very good, lots of not satisfied reports, and don't use this site.... ![]()

| Finally they delivered this morning ! All is good I have the raidmax power supply installed. All is ok, because if you go to NewEgg, you will find the power supply here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817152026 The PSU is very nice and at Outlook it was 89.00 (80.00 at zipzoom). But the kicker is that at Outlook there is a 40.00 mail in rebate, making this PSU 49.00 for a kickass 630 w psu with modular cabling and it reeks of quality.
