To ebay for speaker, or not to ebay....

yes, that is the question.

Both sets of speakers i want are for sale in ebay stores for less than 1/2 retail price.

the downside is, i don't get the factory warranty.

what should i do

Speakers rarely bugger up so go for it.
For that price, buy 2 sets and you'll have spare parts

Hey FB, when speakers go bad it's user screw-ups that cause it 95% of the time. i.e overdrive the speakers, playing clipped music, and the worst sin not enough juice.

Pssst, do you think he's convinced Count? I tried using your guide to persuasion.

This brings up a bad point though - what's to stop someone from selling blown speakers?

I'm not familiar with eBay (scares the heck outta me, in fact). Maybe they have a system to deal with this? Feedback? But then, what's to stop someone from selling crap, getting bad feedback, then selling under a different name?

As I said, eBay scares me.

Well that sounds pretty good!

9000 transactions - I guess there are some people who make a living off eBay?
