female problems

No, I'm not talking about the once a month stuff or anything like that. I'm talking about GF problems. I'm rather shy when it comes to talking to to new people most of the time. That turns into a slim chance of finding a GF. I don't go to clubs or anything like that either and that doesn't help at all.

It also seems like girls of the wrong age seem to like me or "fight" over me. I'm talking about ones way below the legal limit. My neice is always happy to see me and wants to do stuff with me all the time when we visit each other. I had family come visit me the week of the 4th and we went to Busch Gardens since military gets in for free once a year. One the families my mom met while in New Mexico moved to the Tampa area so we met up with them while down there. We took their 5 y/o daughter to Busch Gardens. Her and my neice kept arguing over who got to go on rides with me.

I don't know what it is. I become an instant favorite with the young ones but I have a hard time meeting ones my own age.

Re: female problems

Take up running! Seriously. Runners tend to be, on average, nicer, more intelligent, and better looking than non-runners. And I guarantee you won't feel shy talking to someone while running!

Re: female problems

Join a local singles group, that's the way I hooked up with my wife. They always have social activities, bowling, dancing, and much more. When they went dancing I usually had about three or four ladies at my table. My wife was the one who sat by her self, it caught my attention,,,,

Re: female problems

I have a young guy working as an IT intern for me right now....just came off an Infantry tour in Iraq-----and left the service shortly afterwards.....

He is a nice looking kid----but shy....also hates to go to "clubs" and the "party scene"....smart kid----not a "geek"----fairly athletic

My advice to him when he broached basically the same question to me the other day at lunch....

Get involved with a singles group as Skully suggested...
Exercise groups or clubs like Al has suggested----biking, running, heck you name it-----I'm told going to a local gym is a great way to meet folk...
You could also get involved with groups at your church.....
Volunteering to coach in the Rec Leagues or Little Leagues is also a good way to meet folks and Moms just love to play the "matchmaker" for young coaches I've noticed.

He asked me about the computer dating services and stuff like eHarmony and I deferred-----I had no clue what to say about them good or bad......

Re: female problems

i think what he means is, even if he does like some one he wont approach her because he is shy and thats causing a lot of problems
imo if this is the case, then the first time is the hardest thing, once you start asking someone out, its quite easy, atleast thats what i think

btw i am of your type too

I'm the same way, in the respect that I'm very shy. I don't go to clubs or bars and so on.

thanks, that explains a lot...concerning your sometimes over-agressive posts...overcompensating...shy in real life so overly aggressive in the 'virtual' world

Re: female problems

this subject line is great, like "increased taxes" or "rising costs" female problems are a fact of life for most males. they make great friends, lovers, wives, or all those, but are certainly foreign. if you're shy, think of them as foreigners who speak a different language, and try to communicate with the truth. the closer you stay to basic truths that are universal, the more they will understand. that way, even if you don't connect romantically, you might connect on a friend level, which will lead to greater understanding of the species in general and maybe give you some increased confidence. OPINION: pretty much any male has some sort of female problem.

Excellent advice. Along the same lines, I would add be sincere and be yourself. That may or may not lead anywhere, depending on the particular woman. But it will be the best approach with those women who are potentially good matches and good candidates for long-term relationships.

Re: female problems

In my younger years ,I found that the best way was to not be on the prowl so to speak. It will happen when you least expect it. And don't forget, always act uninterested. LOL
And watch what happens when you do find a girlfriend , all of a sudden they will be lining up at your door.

Re: female problems

Could try joining a club that consists of people with similar interests. That's how Mrs. TQ and I met; through a snow ski enthusiasts club. We hit it off right away and became best friends. It wasn't until five years later that we actually hooked up.

I also like Al's suggestion of taking up running.

I really didn't need your bull, I've been through enough hell as a kid, and I certainly don't need any from you right now. I've seen enough too, where I won't take no garbage from anyone let alone you of all people. So kindly take your garbage elsewhere.
