Garmin GPS users

This is for those of you with handheld type units. Not the ones built for vehicles use only.

I've been using the GPSmap 60 series for a while now. I had the 60CS at first. Then I got the 60CSx. I always hated the fact that it didn't have voice commands. An idea came to my mind a couple weeks ago. I wondered if I could install Mapsource on a laptop and have my GPS hooked up with a USB cable to use as an antenna. I found my answer a couple days ago. All you need is your GPS, a laptop with Mapsource installed and nRoute.

You'll get a bigger display, which will be whatever size your laptop display is. You'll also get voice prompts and some other stuff. It will be harder for you too search for stuff if you are the only person in the vehicle though. I hope you would pull over to search for a specific gas station, restraunt, hotel, etc.

I put it on my main PC to try it out since I get a signal inside. It seems like a really nice program.
