I agree! I hear more noise at work than I can stand. I can't wait untill some punk azz kid with a 2,000 dollar system in a 200 dollar car comes driving thru and parts just start falling off. I'm gonna keel over laughing! Some have been pretty close already. I just keep falling back into old habits and the fact that it can be tough to get enough bass out of small speakers to hear a bass guitar and still keep enough highs to hear high-hats and snares and the like. I'd probably never bother even though I do have an Alpine amp already that I used to drive the 6x9's that were in the rear deck of my last car. They sounded much better being fed a constant 40 watts as opposed to the 15 RMS from the Pioneer that car came with. I'm thinking it may see duty again if I get the Alpine as the 170A's are rated 2 to 40 RMS but who knows. I'll probably get either the Pioneer 4700 so I can get ahold of the volume knob or the Alpine 9845. ![]()
