Turned into a 5 hour project to wash and mostly wax it. It started to rain on and off. Washing in the rain isn't really a problem but waxing is. Also the increased cloud cover made it get pretty dark pretty early and the humidity kept the wax from drying in a timely manner.

I'd finish up the waxing on Tuesday evening when I get home from work but the forcast is for showers Mon, Tues, and Wed.

It took me a long time to clean a car a few years ago. I used to wash my Plymouth Duster for about 1 hour. I would then clean inbetween the doors, hood, and interior. Then for the next 6-8 hours I would wax the car and wipe it off with a soft buffing pad and a t-shirt. Man could I see my reflection...

I traded it in for a Ford Explorer Sport which got totaled last year in a roll over. Someone I knew went 40+ mph thru a stop sign, t-boned me in the passenger side, and rolled me over. Lucky to be here...

Now I drive an Isuzu Rodeo. I don't clean it as often as I should.

Hi Count, what's happening in the land down under? I'm going to have to put my arm in some ice. The wasp sting is getting larger...

Actually I forgot to mention that after I washed it I used Dark Magic cleaner on it to get all the tree sap, bird doo, embeded bug guts and general crud off/out of the clear coat. It hasn't been done "right" for almost 2 years so just the wash didn't get near all the crud and grime off it. At least I got that all done in between rain showers. I would have been in better shape if it hadn't rained, actually I would have gotten it all done.

got a link to what that product is? i was using my School ID to scrape all the tree sap off, it was the only thing i had that was soft enough to scrap with without damaging my paint.

Sometime this summer i would like to use a buffer and some swirl remover to remove the few swirls i do have, but i dont know if that is something that can be rented and the closest person i know who has one is 4 hours away.
