| [rant] What a crazy **** day I've had!!!!! ![]() First I am going to go in to work late because I have a doctor's appt. first thing in the morning. The appt. is for a fall I had on my bike about 3 weeks ago. I went over handlebars and braced with my hands...hurt my left wrist. Long story short....no fracture (took xray), but gave me a splint to wear for a week or two just to keep pressure off wrist. While I'm in doctor's office, I get a call on cell from guy at work that there was a failure on a flight card and need me ASAP to analyze the failure (I'm the test software expert on that stuff). So as soon as I get in, I spend 2 1/2 hours diagnosing the problem. Run from that back to desk because I have to get info together for a 4pm meeting (that I called) and before I can get out door to run to meeting, a co-worker from another dept. knows I'm a "computer guy" and has bungled his mouse driver by trying to install a trackball that he hated and took right back out. So it takes me about 20 minutes to get him squared away. I run back to get my info and then run over to other building where meeting is held and before I get inside the same guy who called me with problem in morning calls back with another problem on a piece of software which I'm also the expert (designated tech support too). So I do meeting then go back and help him, then get back to my desk for about 2 more hours of "peaceful work". Then after work on way home, I pass this area of road which is a blind corner and very narrow (bridge over creek) and there is this girl jogging on wrong side of road (facing me) right over road which is barely wide enough for me and the car coming the other way. The kicker (beside her going wrong direction) is there is a sidewalk on the right side of road and bike/walking trail on the other side. *** is she doing on the busy narrow road for???? Dumb jogger chick!! I know you didn't read this far...but thanks for letting me rant anyway!!! [/rant] |

| The "cool busy" days are indeed fun, bud ....even when the accomplishments are mixed...some large, some not so large, some downright small like a mouse driver...you know you're alive, good at what you do and maybe even appreciated.... Edit:...Hi Selmo!...and yes...it's starting to feel like the Zone again...

| Bikers never use the bike tracks built for them. The whole area around my home and all the way to work is used by joggers. The national stadium is right across form the municipal airport so we all share the roads with them as they jogg to the tracks and we go to work. Very risky somedays.
