| Hey guys, just a quick peek at the goodnight thread! This may seem like old hat to some of you, but it's a first for me - wireless Internet from a hotel room. It was super-easy to connect and I've got an excellent 802.11b signal. It's fast enough, I guess. Transfer speeds are fast but it waits a lot for the AP to start sending data. But even the access code thingumabobber worked well. The first time I tried to access a website a page loaded saying my IP was unauthorized and asked me for the code. According to the card behind my laptop here, it's provided by i-hotel. This service did attract me as a customer - I chose this hotel over another one that was $4/night cheaper just because they had it. BTW netstumbler shows that the hotel uses at least 5 APs spread over three channels. Neat, and you sure can't beat "complimentary"! |

| Sweet, isn't it?! You've got to love the trend towards free broadband @ various hotel chains.
