Got your tax refund yet?

If you think the U.S. tax refund you are getting now is a "tax rebate" from last year, sorry. It is actually an advance payment of a 2001 tax credit. So your refund next April 15 will be less since you are getting some of it now. A bit of a "con" and disinformation being spread.

That figures. Well I guess it is better to get it earlier than later. Hey, when is the government going to have their round of layoffs. It seems only fair that if the private sector is hurting, that the public sector should share the pain.

Hey

Well, if Moron Bush (I didn't think we could have a worse Bush than the last one - I love how recessions ALWAYS hit when a Bush is in the white house)wants to send me a check for a brand new Plextor 24x CDR, good enough for me! I got my check at the end of July. It goes by the first 2 digits of your social security number. I am "11" so I was in the 10-19 batch.

Aren't you lucky. I should get my check next week but my wife has already zeroed in on it and it will not go to feed my PC habit.
What's even worse is that I know I will owe tax next April 15 and the refund check now means I will owe even more then.

However, that hasn't stopped my wife from spending the money already! LOL
School clothes, lunch box, backpack, etc., etc. (my oldest just started school!)
Maybe there will be enough for some 'puter parts...

My check from the governor (pretty boy Lester) is paying for fuel for the motorhome...fall weekend trips coming up...two more months and it'll be in mothballs for the winter.
