And.....then you come home after 4 days away and the cat looks at you with a "where YOU been?" look and then just turns back away from ya.

Not my cats. As soon as they hear the car come into the driveway all 9 of them try to fit at the door at once. As soon as I open the door they all want to picked up for a cuddle at once. As soon as I sit down I have 9 cats all trying to sit in my lap on on the armrests or back of the chair all at once. For the next 2 days I can't move without at least half of them at any particular time following me. A friend who sometimes stays while I'm away told me she used to tell them the morning I was coming home and they understood. They would all sit in the doorway waiting all day.
And the purrrrs... I'm glad they don't have speakers attached because they'd start an earthquake!

Hehe...I'll bet you drag your feet too...

I grew up in a house with animals...we had to drag our feet so we didn't step on anything in the dark.

i just got one atm, but i also live in a 1 br apt hehe
i think, cats are a lot less trouble too (altho smellier :/)
i grew up with animals everywhere and love em all, but i want to have a house outside the city before i get a dog....they really deserve the space!

and my cat always comes runing when i have been away...big sooky eyes saying "wth you been, i need lovin!"
