| Re: Happy 4th of July Probably my 2nd fav holiday of the year. I am a pyro for sure! Not shooting off that much this year due to monetary limitations, but I am going to a buddy's house and assisting with his show. If anyone here shoots backyard fireworks, may I ask for all of you to be safe! Do not mix alcohol with fireworks. If you are going to drink, dont shoot. Almost all consumer firework accidents occur with alcohol or unsupervised children playing with fireworks.

| Re: Happy 4th of July It's a good day to be alive. From Wikipedia: In 1776, John Adams declared, "The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epocha in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore. Adams's prediction was off by two days. From the outset, Americans celebrated independence on July 4, the date shown on the much-publicized Declaration of Independence, rather than on July 2, the date the resolution of independence was approved in a closed session of Congress." From Wayne's World: "Party on, Garth".

| MMMMM, 4th of July pork chops. 4 bonless thick cut large pork chops. 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar. 1 can frozen apple juice from concentrate. 1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing mix. 2 capfuls of Wright's liquid smoke. Enough water to cover the pork chops. Put this all in the vacuum marinator for 6 hours or so. Poke the holy heck out of the pork chops with the tenderizer. Shake it up every once in a while. Put them on the grill, with it on high for the first flip on each side so it seals in the juices. Once they get good clear grill lines on them and start to look good, turn it down just under medium. Dribble a bit of the marinade on them every time you flip them, except for the last time, raw pork juice BAD! Serve with rice and corn on the cob. ![]() |
