Re: Happy Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving marks one year since I got off chemotherapy and graduated top of my class in the M.D. Anderson clinical trial I enrolled in back in February of '06.
I have much to be thankful for.
I'm thankful for my wife who became my project manager leaving me with nothing to do other than "get well"
I'm thankful for my friends and co-workers who prayed for me, demonstrating the very best aspects of mankind.
I am thankful to God for giving me the strength to ride this out and for every day I have had after I was diagnosed and told that, statistically, I had two years to live.
I'm thankful that I've gotten all my strength and endurance back and for everyday I've spent at the gym working on just that.
And not least am I thankful for the staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center who were always positive, upbeat and very, very supportive.
Not to mention just dang good at what they do.

Yep. It's a good day today.
