Question Have You Finished Your Christmas Shopping?

Me, I have to leave the house right after starting this thread and go to Future Shop (Canadian version of Best Buy) and get a Logitech G5 mouse for my best friend and then...

I am done!

Re: Have You Finished Your Christmas Shopping?

I bought wine for sis and the parents. The rest of those who come for xmas eve dinner get sourdough bread I spent the last week preparing and baking.

I refuse to buy "stuff". Don't really care for xmas too much these days. Like the food, the rest I don't really care about. (And I hate the xmas rush, was shoved a couple times the other day and those people really should thank their lucky star I didn't bludgeon them with a wine bottle whilst wearing a crooked smile on my face.)

Re: Have You Finished Your Christmas Shopping?

I did all my shopping on-line this year except the set of silverware to go with my wife's china and it was an impulse buy...
I was pretty much done by the middle of Dec.

not only do they ship your package/gift to any address but they also gift wrap it as well...I always thought that the shipping address had to match the billing address so I'm glad Amazon allows this---saved me a lot of $$ on shipping charges

then I guess you would hate living in New York City...getting shoved is a daily ritual here (especially on the crowded subway on the way to work when everyone is packed inside the subway cars like sardines)

I imagine that being different, though. If people are like that all the time, I'd get used to it pretty soon. But here everyone's very Swedish and careful all year, until they need to get xmas shopping done and they turn into complete douchebags well-deserving of corporal punishment.

Re: Have You Finished Your Christmas Shopping?

I love being able to go to shops on a weekday in the middle of the day. It is so quiet and peaceful, Once work lets out, damn they pile in there. I buy online or when most everyone else is at work. Makes for a more enjoyable experience. Oh, and I don't typically go to "trendy" places for my shopping. I've got a few places that I will spend my money for Christmas shopping. In some instances, I had what I wanted to get picked out a long while ago, kinda surprised me actually.

Amen brother! That is how I did most of mine. Shopping at home rules! I hate malls and bumping heads with other shoppers. Only think I hate about Amazon is a lot of their listed products are not through them directly so hard to tell who you are actually buying from. I had one item that seemed to disappear with no word after my inquiries. Funny, about 10 minutes after I left negative feedback, I get a call with some rep practically begging me to take it off. he was offering free gifts and everything. I am still thinking about it...
