Perlman does indeed rock. I'm still in awe of his performance in the first Hellboy and of the movie itself in general. As a big fan of the comic book series it amazed me how they got so many things right.
Ron was also great in Blade II (same director-Guillermo Del Toro-as the two Hellboy films and Pan's Labyrinth) but he was born to be Hellboy.
Perman was also excellent as Josiah Sanchez in the too-short TV series The Magnificent Seven and he'll have an extensive voice-over role in Bethesda's upcoming game Fallout 3.
