Well, I've made my fair share of poor decisions regards the "fairer" sex, but I also know what I know and it does seem to be the case that girls select out the aggressive a-holes while guys select out the prettiest a-holes. Its all mad.

(Interestingly, later in life, both sexes seem to wake up and you get the women going for the smart guys and the guys going for the smart women).

If all it took was courage, there would be women ALL OVER some TOTAL DORKS. There are some guys that try real hard to get girls, and I have to laugh when they get shot down. So there's something else to it other than courage. There's a special formula for attracting women, and I wasn't born with the genetic side of it. In fact, I don't have anything going for me. Number 1 I can't bring myself to treat women like crap. I don't need to mooch $$$ from the m constantly. I don't have any illegitamate children, and I refuse to be the slave/servant/personal piggy bank for one. Maybe some day I'll find one that doesn't look for thise qualities in a mate.

My wife is gorgeous---52 and trim and just beautiful---a real "Southern Belle". She still runs marathons---and manages to be an elementary school Principal----and manages to raise my sons properly----and manages to keep this old, dumb, ugly paratrooper happy.....

she's an incredible woman....

I got lucky....

guess the storyline is true....

She told me she had always dated the "bad boys"----but finally just got tired of being stupid.....and treated badly...

Wanted somebody "dependable"

that's where I fit in......

I may be slow and ugly, and unexciting----but I AM dependable.....

I wouldn't worry about it. You can talk to me since I am a man of few morals when it comes to women I am not unfamiliar with that theory on ugly girlfriends, but from experience I don't subscribe to it. If a pretty girl leaves you then you can at least think to yourself she was so fine that it's understandable she would pursue more money, gifts etc. An ugly one leaves you it does no good to your ego since you end up thinking that you can't even keep a homely one. The actual loss of the woman is secondary to the rejection syndrome. I go through phases where I have no intention of any relationship though I never tire of a woman's primary function. I went through 8 last summer though now I have been with the same one for about 7 months. She is far from HOT, but she takes good care of me with cooking, I'm living at her house rent free, she gave me several antique firearms (love the 1949 .30.30 Winchester), there is always beer in the fridge and whiskey in the bar, etc. She even helped me do a job last weekend where I made $500 in less then 2 days. I'm getting a little old to play the circuit so I may settle down for a bit.

johnrr6, I tried your link but seems to be dead I will definitely be coming down to the beach this summer so maybe we can do that drink Assuming we are still together by then, I will probably be bringing my girl down. I don't usually like bringing girlfriends to the beach since it is a lot like bringing a bologna sandwich to a smorgasbord, but what can I do? Beats riding with my parents.
