I'm 10 miles away and it takes 20 to 30 mins depending on how slow traffic is.

After years and years of commuting 45 minutes across town in rush hour each way... ...
I finally am only a few minutes away...3 miles...and have full use of a company vehicle to boot...
Good thing with gas prices the way they are - I reduced my full size pickup to recreation status with less than 6,000 miles/yr...

Oh my god you guys are so lucky. 100 km's one way and it takes about 1 1/2 hours each way, I really enjoy spending 3 hours a day on the road. Few more years until the kids are done school and I move closer to the city.

45 to 50 minutes if there are no problems. It's worth it to live in a rural area though.

I used to live about 30 miles (right through downtown and such) so that it took me a hour each way. Did that for about 5 years. Then last year moved ONE mile away from work so that commute was about 5 minutes. Now just moved again to a better place....further away, but not bad - about 20 minutes.

I used to work with a guy at my old job that lived 2 1/2 hours north from our Brooksville office where we worked. That was 5 hours of drive time per day. Then after some time, we both got transferred to the Tampa office (another hour south). Then he had 7 hours of drive time per 8 hour day. And as far as I know....he may still be doing that. I never could figure out why if the job was that important, he didn't move to the area. He lived in North Florida.
