Question How much computer 'stuff' do you have?

This is pretty much the extent of my computer junk, minus my small binder of games and software. Retaining clips, fan speed controllers, old manuals and software, anti-static bags, screws, stickers, etc. Bunches of stuff I think I'll never use but hey, you never know. . . (and it's good to have some extra gear when someone else puts a computer together and needs one of the little things)

How much stuff do you have?

I need to read my-self of crap, I did find a brand new Timex Sinclair, still trying to figure out where I got the Extensis EX3000 with the EMOS OS. I also found an old photo of my computer room, think it was the c-64 (living room) 1988

Too much, that's for sure. I just cleaned out this box. Still in bad shape.

I've got 2 old computer cases in my closet. I've got a big box filled with about 10 case fans, miles of usb, ethernet, ide, and power cables, several gamepads, old hard drives, old video cards, and various other stuff I'll never use. I've got a broken router and a broken video card laying around. And of course I have the boxes for all major components of my computers. I won't even get into the piles books and software I have around here.

I tend to just keep enough stuff around so I'm able to keep my system running if some hardware dies. So basically I have spare hardware around to build another machine if I needed to

Hmm... Got a pile of unused stuff lying around. Don't have pix, but here's a list over the stuff I have.

1...Asus P4B533-E motherboard
2...2x256 PC2700 sticks. (one Apacer, one generic crap)
3...Asus GeForce3 Ti200 card
4...Asus GeForce DDR card (on loan to a friend right now)
5...ATI Rage128 card
6...Diamond 3Dfx Voodoo2 8 MB card
7...6.4 GB Seagate Medalist Pro harddrive (somewhat beat up )
8...15" SVGA monitor
9...17" SVGA monitor

When I manage to collect enough spares to build a new rig, I usually do it. Done it twice already.

Also got tons of cabling (IDE etc), some half-broken keyboards and a busted up Microsoft mouse. And about 50 metres of TP cable I haven't used up yet.

Got a couple of Amigas (One 1200 , one 4000) also, which I use intermittently for nostalgic purposes. They work fine at 10 years old.

Way, way too much.

Most of it's spread out on what used to be a ping pong table. And on a few shelves. And don't forget the dining room table. And the junk on the floor by "my' system. And ...
