As last week ended, we had more heat and humidity. Then the storms came on Friday. I was driving down to Atlantic City and I swear that a bolt of lightning struck no more than 100 meters from my car. I almost had a heart attack with my window cracked open hearing the blast sound as it came and went. And the flash...

I learned in Physics a few weeks ago that lightning is the result of the storm clouds stripping electrons from the surface of the earth, much like the effect of rubbing a glass rod with a silk cloth, and the bolts are the instances when the build up of potential energy is great enough to "ground" itself through a bolt of lightning. They explained that it doesn't matter how high objects are. Lightning strikes places where there is the least resistance or an opposite charge exists. Hmm.. Does that mean I'll be okay holding my steel golf clubs when I'm out on the greens?

There's nothing like playing into hurricane winds and watching the flag poles flying off into the distance. What's that? My distance to the pin is 5000 yds, no wait, 6000, 7000, I better get my Asus Driver.

It's a good day for AsusBoards.com.

Go HERE and give Ozzie a round of applause.

Ozzie deserves a big clap of the hands.

It is really heating up here! Getting near the end of July, heading towards the hottest month! It was 97 yesterday, but we had a nice stiff breeze. Didn't bother me. A fellow I work with sweats like a hog from Mar till Nov!

I knew a guy who had a sweating problem. Since he didn't bathe everyday, he would achieve new levels of stinky week after week. Eventually, he got wise to his situation and the fact that he wasn't attracting any females so he began bathing on a regular basis.

It's warm outside, not too unbearable. Ever since the mini tornado that hit NJ Friday, it's been pretty nice out. Cool breezes last night with temps in the 70s.

I don't know when it's supposed to rain again, but all the grass is dying so we could use more.

Just checked out weather.com. Looks like the Northeast is going to be getting some really rough weather today. Temps will climb to the low 90's, then the weatherman says we can kiss 90 degree temps good bye. The severe storms coming look like they're carrying lake effect rains and the clashing of the pressure systems should prove entertaining.

For the first time, I think I need to unplug my machines. It doesn't sound like it's going to be a good time.

It's going to hit Boston down to DC so everyone in between, keep an eye on the sky!

It's hot and humid and windy, but storms are moving in later today.
They are not to far away:

Map is changing, so it's out now.
