Holy Cow!! That will make your legg freeze off even without jumping off anything....

The 'worst' we get is -20C winters and that is pretty rare.... We had a pretty cold winter back in 1977 when it was around -20/-25C and we were able to ice skate thru the streets all the way to school... COOL!!!

Nowadays they are so quick in throwing salt on the roads... It's for the better tho... Don't wanna go iceskating with your car!

Edmonton can get pretty cold... its approx. 20 km further away from the North Pole than the capital of Siberia. It gets too cold there for salt to be very useful  The city used to use front-end loaders and dump trucks to haul away the snow. Quite an experience for a kid who'd grown up 2 miles from the beach in Southern California! I used to ski on the hill behind our house at night after doing my homework. It was long enough for about 5-6 turns, and I had to walk up, but it was pretty cool!

Right now here in Tempe (09:00 local) it's 32c. Forecast is 40c with a chance of thunderstorms...nice mild summer day

Many thanks to the inventor of air conditioning.
That guy-inventor-is responsible (grr) for lava air from stationary cars on traffic. There was a time that cars were not shipped with a A/C standard in my country. That time you were trapped to traffic and no much more heat than ambient was inserting the car.Now all that ventilators and heat generated by A/C system is forcing all others to have an airconditioned car too.I was surrounded by 20 A/C equiped cars and that was a terrible situation.

Ohh,never mind I usually drive an A/C equiped car now but I thought to spare my opinion on that.

I live in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia........the Eden of Atlantic Canada! Apple country! It's been very dry here for the past few weeks, we need rain. Temps have been in the mid 20's to mid 30's this week and high humidity. It won't last long as temps drop quickly after the end of August.

New heatwave in the NE. 95F and 90% humidity.
Not much fun, that AC is hard working.
I have a dehumidifier in my basement and every day for the last couple of days I take 2 Gallons of water out of that thing.

Currently (09:34 local) 93f/34c. Forecast is 109f/43c with evening thundertorms. Humidity's not too bad for here, and way better than most places! But I don't even want to TALK about hard-working air conditioners. Mine died last week; cost $500+ to fix. Had to go into my "toys" $ to pay for it...major bummer.

Today was pleasant. Some clouds to keep it a bit cooler than it could have been.

Just came back from Turkey today and it was HOT...all week 40c+, but the humidity was very low and there was a constant seawind.
@ about 8pm the humidity went up and temperature down to about 22c... The powerlines were sparking all the time :o

The weather in The Netherlands was rainy and about 18-20c... but it was about 25c today (I brought some sunshine in my suitcase )
