| Been having major lightning storms here in O'ville (Orlando, Florida). Last week our building got hit. Killed a switch, 3 nics, our entire phone system and all the phones. We rent space from another company (it's actually their building) and they lost more stuff than us. Some of the phone equipment was actually melted and charred black.

| I am in South Bend, another business trip and the weather is great. Mid to high 70 and dry air and a cooool night, only mid 50. What a change from RI, man humidity hasn't below 90-95% all weekend long. One day I am gone write a book about all my business trips. Its fun and it stinks at the same time, all hotels look the same and so do the airports, but I 've seen many places that I would have never been able to see without that job. I am at 46 out of 50 US states. When I worked out of Europe I travelled to Russia, France, Italy, Austria and Holland, so its gone be a big book about the ins and outs of business travelling. |

| Sunny and warm today (25C). Made the mistake to wear jeans when I left my apartment @8pm, very hot. Almost thought of ripping them off, but didn't want to turn anybody's stomach biking home. I'm longing for autumn, can't stand the heat. -kONGO |

| Out here in the Wild West, it's 29c, 42% relative humidity @10:23 local. Forecast is for a balmy 38c.... just another day in the oven. I'm ready for fall, too. Got my application for season pass (to my "home" ski area) in the mail. Can't decide if I'll be able to do enough skiing this winter to justify it.

| Big giant twin tornado today. It was about a dozen miles away from me. Since I was not outside, I had a great view of it on the tv. |

| Any interesting natural phenomena happening by you? Waterspouts here. As they approach shore you can hear the ocean getting sucked up into the sky. |
