How well do you know your Asian friends?

Can you tell the difference between Chinese, Japanes and Korean? Take the test and find out.

BTW....I "thought" I was pretty good....and I only got 6 of 18 right. My friend who sent it to me (who is Chinese) only got 7 right.

LOL....that must be a fun guy to talk to.

I used to a guy in school who was Japanese. He lived in Japan until he was about 12 then his family moved to Jamaica where he lived until his 20s when he came to school. He had a Japanese/Jamaican hybrid accent. It was the weirdest accent you'd ever hear.

I've always had trouble with Japanese/Korean and Chinese/Vietnamese. Both sets have characteristics and cultures very similar such that I have trouble distinguishing them.

So who's gonna put up a "Canadian or American" test?

12/18

I have about 8 asian friends, including my girlfriend who is Vietnamese. One major thing that I have noticed in telling where someone is from come down to actual skin tone. I have noticed on average people from the more southern countries in Asia have a darker skin tone. I notice this with my girlfriend and her family, along with one of my good friends who is Cambodian. I have a 2 Korean friends, and there skin tone is a lot fairer. I don't have any Chinese or Japanese friends, so I'm not sure if this applies in the same way.

Please don't think I'm making a racist comment or suggestion, I'm only going on my own observations. To me though it would make sense, since Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand are all much further south and in a much more tropical/Jungle area than the Northern part of Asia.
