I don't miss the old days. Why are you all getting so sentimental.

There is no need to be sentimental. Today is great and tomorrow will be even better, so why so sentimental?

Re: I miss the old days ...

Man, hearing everyone talk like this just makes me want to post about my ABXZone experiences and memories.

I haven't been around as long as some of you "old timers" (since 2004) but my time here has always been one that I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy. I had been building my own systems for a few years before finding ABX but it wasn't until I arrived that I was able to LEARN so much from so many. This give and take of advice and knowledge really fueled my passion for building and enjoying my computer hobby. Nowhere else on this "World Wide Web" have I found a more welcoming attitude and real commitment to help others with computer, game, Hi-Fi, or even personal questions. Attacks or rude replies just don't materialize here that often. Especially for those from the "good old days".

That has always been the magic here. It always brings a smile to my face when I see Sir Skully asking for a little stardust and I see so many ABXers that have helped me over the years respond with a little stardust of their own ***********************************.

I don't have a huge post count as many here have but I soke up as much information as I can from you all, both past and present: Kongo, Sir Skully, Polonyc2, traveler, fvbounty, TQ, Mr. steveo, patentman, borodar, count minaba, PCBruiser, and soooooo many more. WOW... just listing some of these names brings back some great (and tense) memories when I thought my computer might be fried and many helped me understand and FIX the problems !!!

It is a fact that as we age our passions and enthusiasm ebb and flow as with my own computer addiction . However, still to this day since July, 2004 ABXZone has been my home page and it will remain so.

I sure do remember the golden, olden, days...the magic A lot of great guys and gals have passed by this way and some are still here. What goes around comes around. If we spread the stardust around the mojo may work to liven ye ole ABX.....I tell ya Yeah I've been here so long. I've went from a middle age knight to a youth of old age. But L, I still can wrestle the lab dragon and best him....

Anywho love ya'll, and here's some stardust to cover all of ABX

those names...the memories of days gone by...I gotta send a note to PCBruiser and tell him to come back here...I know where he has made his new home but I keep forgetting to send him a shout out...sad that the old/new Administration made him Paragon and grasmf feel unwelcome and ran them out of town...scapegoats...that was ABX's last stand to me...those guys had a vision of what ABX should be and they tried to implement it...whether you agree with their tactics or not they showed initiative which is a lot more then a lot of the other folks in power did...action is a lot better then just standing around and doing nothing...it's better to have stood up for something and failed rather then being too passive and not wanting to rock the boat which is what seems to have happened here

just saw a commercial for 20/20 (a news program here in the US, for those global members)...in which a woman has this disease/illness/gift where she cannot forget anything...every memory stays in her mind forever...I missed the episode but it sounded fascinating

they say life goes on...and you can't go back again... but like an old sweet song with a strong refrain-- the memories remain

-lyrics from an old song
