| Martial Arts Master >< if you've never heard of Tony Jaa then you will soon...he is the next best/big thing to hit Asian martial arts cinema since Bruce Lee...he is the true successor to Bruce Lee/Jackie Chan/Jet Li...one of his earlier movies is being released in the USA in a few months and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of these type of movies...here is the trailer for Ong Bak Trailer #1 Trailer #2 *I just read today that they are currently shooting the sequel to this movie in Australia

| I've seen that movie already. The guy kicks ***. But I don't think he's considered as a martial arts master. He has a college degree in PE and more or less studied gymnastics during those years. That's how he is capable to do all those moves. He worked as a stunt man for a lot of movies before this one, and he also did most of the stunts himself in this movie. This movie didn't use graphics much to help with cool effects, so the actors had to actually do most of the stunts themselves. Funny thing is, the reason behind it was it was made as a low budget movie. Don't get me wrong. The guy did a very good job and this movie is very action packed. If you love martial arts, you'll love this movie. One more thing about that movie. It refers a lot to classical Thai living styles, including some cultures and traditions that probably are not known to a lot of foreigners. I guess it didn't mean to be made for international crowds at first. But if you get to know the stuff that goes on in the movie, you will get to know Thailand better. I hope after this movie, Thailand will become more well known. |

| Alright.....looks fun. He looks great.....I'll reserve that "successor to Bruce Lee" title until I see more though. Oh....and although they are good, I wouldn't put Jackie Chan or Jet Li (as that trailer tried....but they are just trying to sell tickets) in Bruce Lee's category either. Jet Li might be getting closer, but Jackie Chan is great and funny, but he's not really a master martial artist. |

| Is it just me, or does he look like he is choosing to ignore the normal laws of gravity? Pretty amazing video, especially that last link. ![]()
