Most ridiculous British laws

Quote:
Queen Elizabeth II's speech in the British parliament Tuesday may have been routine but at least nobody got bored to death. That would have been against the law.

Dying in parliament is an offence and is also by far the most absurd law in Britain, according to a survey of nearly 4,000 people by a television channel showing a legal drama series.

You're right, that is pretty stupid. If you are dead, how could you enter a plea?!

Re: Most ridiculous British laws

Isn't there a law, that you are allowed to shoot any frenchman in england with a longbow when you see one outside of london? Or something like that, have to search for the site i once came across. Something about stupid laws, selectable by country.

Greetings

Dru

Re: Most ridiculous British laws

Thanks for the link iMogal!

I can't find the law i was refering to, maybe it has been changed since then, or i mixed this one up with information from some other source.

"All English males over the age 14 are to carry out 2 or so hours of longbow practice a week supervised by the local clergy."

Greetings

Dru

Lets see how these Texas laws compare.

1. It is illegal to shoot a buffalo from a second story window.
2. No feather duster can be used on the first floor of a hotel
3. You by law have to have windshield wipers, but no law stating that you have to have a windshield for the windshield wipers
