My beautiful boat drowned in the lake:(

Well, didn't have a very good Memorial Day today. It all started, on the way to the lake, when the Boat trailer's tire had a blow out Then last night, a big storm came through and sunk my boat

Luckily, no one was in it. That was the prettiest boat I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to recover it, but it suffered some damage and now the insurance will need to decide what they want to do. Also, I lost everything inside as it all floated away. Either way, hopefully I will come out better than before. Either they will Total it or have to fix everything like brand new again.

Next year, I think I will stay home on Memorial Day.....

Sorry to hear that tomp. Like you and the other guys said, fortunately nobody got hurt. I hope the insurance company decides they will fix it! When they total it that's normally pretty bad!

Maybe you should have stayed home and frag some of those fragmasters in the games forum..

Thanks for all the replies. The weekend really sucked for me. I did have the boat already tricked out. I am kinda afraid that the insurance will total it and screw me over.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck Tomp. My mom had a similar experience with a stolen car where the insurance offered too little $$. She held out and refused the money and fought with them and ended up getting a decent amount more than their initial offer. If you have the time, you may be able to hold out for more $$ based on after market additions, etc.

What a bummer Tom,

but as everyone says, most important that no one was hurt.

Best of luck,

Randyminer made a good point there. Insurance companies hold out till they are almost sued (and some have to be sued). The way the money costs is for the insurance companies they have found it easier to test you with the lowest amount first.

Sorry about the boat.

Thanks for the Insurance warnings. I will be on alert! I realize that it's their job to screw me over, but they have another thing coming when they meet me I will not be screwed over easily and I won't go away quietly. I am already prepared to go head-to-head with their Adjuster. They better send their best guy because I am no slouch on this kinda stuff

Tom...

I have to tell you...things got really ugly here the other night in Plano...as I'm sure where you are. Those storms came in and kicked major ^**** for quite awhile. Hopefully you have a solid insurance company. Just watch out for the "Act of God" stuff. But that is why we carry insurance. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hopefully you'll be out on Lake Lewisville or Ray Hubbard in no time in a NEW tricked out rig.

Bob

Bobmitch, yes I am real close to Plano. I am in Allen, right off of Bethany and I-75. I was out on Cedar Creek Lake when the storm came through. Good to know I got a close-by neighbor round here
