I've had Netflix for over three years now and the wife and I love it. She is just like the ladies in the commerical.....gets all excited when a new DVD comes in the mail.

I also like to suspend my membership in summer when we don't have much time to watch movies. When we start back up in the fall all my ratings and recommendations are still there.

I love their recommendations, although they sometimes recommend movies I already rated...

That's a cool feature -- didn't know they offered suspensions like that.

that only applies to in-store rentals though right? If you don't return a mail one in seven days nothing happens? (Except you don't get the next movie on your list till you return it)

BB has been getting a beating lately...they're trying to find a way to compete better...that's what this whole new "no late fees" and netflix-like-program are all about

I want someone to start selling movies online as downloads...(not itunes or sony though)

That isn't for the online rentals. It is only for in-store. The online deal with BB is identical to Netflix as far as I can tell save the price and the two free in-store coupons.

So basically... no more late fees! But, if you go over 7 days, you bought it. They have your credit card on file and just charge you for it.

I don't care if BallBusters gives you any rentals or whatever, you can't beat Net Flix. They are cheap, fast, and don't care about anything other than you sending money to them. I.E. every 3 days, you get 3 more movies.....for your personal collection. Plus, they have the first season of Macgyver - what more could you ask for????

I have a free month (twice the normal trial) of Netflix offer sitting in my email that expires 3/23/05. I can apparently forward this email to anyone and they can click the link and get a free month of movie rentals from Netflix. So if anyone sees this and is interested send me a PM before 12:00am(EST) with your email address and I will forward it to you.

I'm still on a trial first month with blockbuster and they're really slow so far. I keep having movies that don't come in till a day or two after the time they said it should be here. 4+ days is a long time for simple mailing. They've sent me one wrong disc (probably not their fault since it was in the write envelope).
