Re: Revolutions?

I just saw it yesterday. The movie leading to the end was ok....I liked the action sequences. A little confusing at first but understandable. What really disappointed me, was the very end. I thought there would be more to it. I thought the 'one' would be more influential in the end. Although, there was some closure to the end, to me, it raises other questions. Overall, more questions at the end of the third than it answers the end of the second.

Is it me or did the human race get the ****ty end of the stick?

He makes an excellent bad guy and his expressions make me laugh (although his says Mr Anderson one too many times).
LOL, my girl mentioned that same thing.....I attributed it to what he had become. He's no longer bound by the Matrix rules, hence, his program was becoming aware of his power over it and of course, becoming more arrogant too. So I guess, I can understand why he was acting like the way he did in this movie as oppsed to the prior ones.

I think that it's a must see for Matrix fans who are looking for the rest of the story, some more of the action, and great effects. However, I felt that it took too long to get going and the end was a weak attempt at a deeper meaning. I give it a 7.75.

Overall it was a good movie. I'd give it 3/4 stars.

The "main part" of the end had a nice deep meaning, but I don't think they pulled it off well enough. Also, I was a little disappointed that the "final" ending was really a definative one....left it such that it could "happen again".

ok...here we go....

i thought the movie was GOOD! Yes i said it...I liked the movie and thought it was a fitting end to the trilogy (at least I hope it's the end). Yea there were the cheesy lines, and we all know how Keeanu Reeves is as an actor, but the overall story and especially concept were good.

It's not typical American cinema where EVERY SINGLE PART of the plot and story are explained so that anyone and everyone can understand it....it takes some paying attention and patience and maybe even some re-watching of the movie. It's more like a mix between American, Japanese and European style cinema - which is refreshing to say the least. Lots of things are left to the imagination but that's what allows people to actually ahve conversations about it other than:
<convo> "so what'd ya think?" <p> "cool" </end convo>

Plus...its JUST A MOVIE afterall....you can't possibly expect 2 human beings [Wachowskis] to explain the meaning of life and religion all in 2 hours.

Obviously 2 and 3 dont really compare to the first one - and the styles were even different - but overall I am satisfied.

OK long post...but it seems as though I'm the only one who liked it. I'm gonna see it again this weekend and I'm sure I'll find more faults - but I'm also sure I will pick things up that I didnt before - good things - something, I feel anyway, that helps makes a movie enjoyable.

I just saw it tonight. I liked the movie. The action scenes were incredible but the ending left me hanging. Overall I would rate it an 8 out of 10.

much ado about nothing...I hope Agent Smith cleans house and puts an end to their misery.....reminds me of nothing so much as the endless serials movie houses played in the thirties/forties..
.."Perils of Neo"...lol.

I dont know about the rest of you... but I dont like my movies to fill in the blanks and to tie a little pink bow on the whole affair.

Leave me with questions.... just like the first one. This movie was good. I enjoyed it all..... maybe one of the death scenes could of been shortened, but to each his own.

I liked the fact that I enjoyed this one the first time I watched it.... unlike Reloaded, where I didnt enjoy it till the second viewing.

It was a good movie. I could see how some people wanted more fighting.... but it showed the pointlessness(sp) of it.

Go see it.... try not to expect anything.... let it unfold.

Interesting point - while I liked the fighting in Reloaded, it did seem to me that there was no way that the Matrix could ever be significantly affected that way. This makes me a bit more interested in seeing Revolutions. I have to wait till next Sat. though

I just saw revolutions tonight at the local (well, not so local (1 hr away)) Imax theatre. In a word, Amazing!

I feel as if the final movie finished the story quite nicely, although the ending with "the kid who jumped" announcing the end of the war was pretty hoakey. The special effects were great.

I liked the movie although the ending was too easy and incomplete IMO. Like everyone else in the other thread said, there were a lot of holes in the plot. Unless I miss understood it. Oh well, I still enjoyed it like I said earlier.

I was a bit disappointed, but glad I went to see it and overall was entertained. I am a big Matrix fan. I missed the original Oracle actress a lot in this movie, impossible to fill her shoes.

Final grades on the Trilogy imho…

The Matrix A+

Reloaded A-

Revolutions B

Thumbs up

Good entertainment. Ending s*cked because it was too open ended. I don't want another sequel, just wrap it up. But, as it is it has the typical Holywood "leave the ending open to a sequel" type ending

I didn't see much in the way of plot holes. And yes, no one could have replaced Gloria Foster as the Oracle.

one word- SUCKED!!! I thought that had to be one of the most ridiculous movies of the year. I almost demanded my money back. It had its moments where it was interesting, but the whole movie coupled with the ending made it a poor excuse for an ending to a Trilogy (sadly enough where Star Wars is head if they don't fix it up). It is like the movies became worse every movie down the line. The original Matrix should have stay a stand alone movie w/o any talks of a Trilogy. But now with two dismal attempts at a continuation it just made the entire Trilogy lackluster at best. I thought the first movie was great the second movie was extremely average, and finally the last movie was horrible (it wasn't even worth the second watch).

I must say I guessed right when I guessed the guy cutting himself with the knife was Smith. I never expected the war to end the way it did. The guy that developed "the matrix" doesn't fit in IMO. That's the best way I could explain that. And what happened with the machine world? Did the humans take over the surface and the machines move down or what? What about all the bodies that the machines got their power from? I know that they said all the ones in Zion were freed but it didn't show any of them or say where the were living.

I saw reloaded at the Imax. Didn't like it as much as the regular theatre. The facial details and all that showed up to easily.
